Subhash Ghai, the producer of ‘Aitraaz‘, took to Instagram to share the news, stating that his team has already completed the script for ‘Aitraaz 2’. “The fearless and beautiful Priyanka Chopra had shown immense courage in portraying her character in ‘Aiteraaz’,” Ghai wrote. “Even after 20 years, cinema enthusiasts cannot forget her performance. She was hesitant at first, but she approached the role with complete confidence.”
‘Aiteraaz’, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, was a critical and commercial success, released alongside Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Veer Zaara’ and becoming one of the top 10 highest-grossing films of 2004. The film featured an ensemble cast that included Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anu Kapoor, Preity Zinta, and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles.
